the jumping off point

I begin this blog with some hesitation. I kind of hate the idea of the blog. I hate that it is trendy. I hate that it is supposed to be about me and my views, how big of an ego must one have to write about themselves day-in-and-day-out? So that's my disclaimer, this isn't exactly how I saw myself writing when I saw myself as a writer. But I have this sneaky suspicion that I might actually love it. I wonder if you will too...or at least not hate me for it.
